Manchester United
Playing for United was a dream come true. I’d been a supporter since I knew what football was. Wait, did I say playing? I meant writing. Writing for Man U was a dream come true.
I was a copywriter for the launch of the Manchester United NFT project, providing expert Web3 knowledge and the best copy this side of the M62.
Take a look below at some of the work I produced for the greatest football club in the world.

Web3 Lingo
I’ve survived more than one awkward moment in my past when I’ve had to nod along, pretending I understand as colleagues used Web3 buzzwords and arcane new slang.
So it’s no surprise that in preparation for the launch of their NFTs, Manchester United commissioned me to put together this short article on lingo as a reference guide for new users.

Safety in Web3
Staying clear of hackers, rug pullers and, to put it bluntly, thieves, when you’re new to Web3 is a difficult business.
If you’ve been in this industry long enough, chances are you’ll have had your toes burnt. My job here was to help Man U’s new community avoid a similar fate by giving them some easy-to-follow tips.
My experience as the co-host of a Twitter Spaces series all about scams gave me the perfect grounding to write this piece.

Introducing The Devils
This was an interesting article to work on because it was the one that introduced the club’s first paid-for NFT. So we had to get it right.
It was originally meant as a longer piece that would include information on the collection’s lore (see next article). I suggested we split it into two shorter ones to give each topic more breathing space.
The client and I workshopped a few ideas before landing on the two articles you can see here.

The Devils' Lore
Part II of The Devils’ introduction, this one gave the backstory for the collection and was aimed and getting emotional buy-in for the NFTs.
Anyone working in Web3 during 2022 has learned that launching a digital collection is not enough anymore. People want utility, they want community, and they want to feel something.
United’s project provides all three of these and I’m proud to say I’m part of the team that helped bring these qualities into the light.
